Australia is the smallest continental land, but it is the world’s largest island. Most of Australia’s 19 million people live near the coast, because the inner parts of Australia are made up of deserts. 80% of the country’s population live in the south-eastern part of the country.

Weather
SUMMER (December to February) :
The hottest months in Australia are December, January and February. In these months, you might like to head south to escape the heat. During summer it will be crowded with tourists and also price are at peak. Northern Territory, Uluru in Summer will be extremely hot

The coldest months are June, July and August a perfect time to explore up north in 65 to 70F

Instead of going by Seasons, it will be good to look at the weather based on the city and area. All the cities Sydney, Cairns, Northern Territory, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Tasmania have different weather at the same time. Sydney sees 340 sunny days in a year. Cairns is a tropical and summers are humid and hot.

Travel between cities
Cities in Australia are far and it is not easy to drive between the cities. Flying is the best option between cities.
